Weather & Temperature at Everest Base Camp in January:

The Everest Base Camp is in the winter in January, with scarce precipitation. It’s mostly sunny and the sunlight is strong. However, since the altitude is high, the temperature is low all year round. What to wear if visiting Everest in January:

Daytime average temperature: below 0°C(windy & freezing cold), warm clothes such as outdoor fleece jackets, down jackets, windbreakers, sweaters, wool suits, warm underneath shirts and pants, etc. are recommended.

Nighttime average temperature: -20°C, winter clothes such as winter coats, leather jackets, down jackets, scarves, hats, gloves, sunglasses, masks, etc. are recommended.
