Mainly after the heavy snow, the road is covered in deep snow which is difficult to shovel off. There is also ice and snow on the frozen road during the day. the road is frozen with dark ice on the surface, which may cause vehicles to rollover. Sometimes the water pipes freeze and tap water in Tingri County cannot be supplied. At this time, air conditioning needs to be defrosted before blowing warm air. Therefore, it can take very long to warm up.

Dress Code in December:

Daytime average temperature: around 5°C(windy & freezing cold), warm clothes such as outdoor fleece jackets, down jackets, windbreakers, sweaters, wool suits, warm underneath shirts and pants, etc. are recommended.

Nighttime average temperature: -18°C, winter clothes such as winter coats, leather jackets, down jackets, scarves, hats, gloves, sunglasses, masks, etc. are recommended
