  • Is it necessary to bring sleeping bag to visit Mt. Everest?
    It is necessary. If you have your own sleeping bag, suggested to bring along, otherwise, you may wish to rent one in Lhasa. The reason is: as the EBC tent being set up from every April, all the beddings won’t be changed (due to the shortage of water) until the end of October. Thus a sleeping bag may keep you with hygiene and provide you a better sleeping quality.
  • What can I see at Everest Base Camp?
    On the way to Everest base camp, we will cross the 5, 198-meter Mt. Gaoula pass. Standing here, in good weather, you can see the five peaks that are above 8,000 meters, including Mt. Everest. From the viewing platform, you can also see the s-shaped viewing road of Mt. Gaoula. At the Base Camp of Mt. Everest, you can have a close look at the mountain which only with distance of 18KM. And there is a small monastery in the direction of the 8,844.43m elevation monument that is considered as the world’s highest altitude monastery – Rongbuk Monastery, also called the upper Rongbuk Monastery. Visitors can go for a walk on their own and see wild rock sheep.
  • What to eat at Everest Tent?
    Inside the Everest tent, the camp manager can make breakfast for everyone, but have to book the night before, it will cost RMB 30.00 per person. The breakfast includes: porridge, an egg cake, a small bag of mustard tubers.
  • When will the sunrise or sunset begin at Mt. Everest?
    In spring: the sunrise is at about 08:50 and the sun set is at about 18:50

    In summer: the sunrise is at about 06:50 and the sun set is at about 21:20

    In autumn: the sunrise is at about 07:00 and the sun set is at about 21:50

    In winter: the sunrise is at about 07:30 and the sun set is at about 19:00

    Of course, the time of sunrise and sunset depends on the weather of the day. When it rains, it will be light late and getting dark early; but when the sun comes out, it gets dark later.
  • Can I get my battery charging inside the EBC tent?
    Yes, you can, get the electrical board in each tent, but there aren't many space to plug in with. Most of the 29 seats tour buses have equipped with USB ports for charging. It is also better for you to bring a power bank during your Tibet trip. You can have it during your stay in the hotel and while you are at the tent near Mt. Everest, you won't be upset when your phone is power off.
