How to get to Tibet from Kunming

Kunming is located in the middle of the Yunnan-Guizhou plateau and is the capital city of Yunnan province in southwest China. With the influence of geographical location and topography, summer neither hot in summer nor cold in winter, it has typical temperate climate characteristics, it is spring all year round, and is famous for "spring city". Therefore, the urban landscape here is full of green, and flowers are always blooming. In terms of tourism resources, there are unique plateau lakes -- Dianchi Lake, as well as various karst caves, weird rocks and wetlands.

Examples: Yunnan surrounds, there are two Stone Tablets, Mahabouddha Temple, Alu Caves, and Luliang Colored Sand Forest in the East; Fuxian Lake, Xingyun Lake, Jiulong Chi, and Tonghaixiushan Park in the South; Anning Hot Spring, and Lufeng Prehistoric Fossil Sites in the West; Wuding Lion Mountain; and Luquan Rock Carvings in the Yi Literature.

Kunming is also a colony of ethnic minorities, so it presents a plurality of folk culture and makes the city attractive. Kunming has a long history with traces of ancestors' activities. About 4,000 years ago, there were agricultural peoples who settled in the Dianchi area.

2、Transportations from Kunming to Lhasa：

1) There are two air routes from Kunming to Lhasa, one is a direct flight, and another is stopping route.

2) There is no direct train from Kunming to Lhasa, have to transit via Wuhan/Changsha, etc., and it take long hours on the train, would make the tourist exhausted.
