The New Palace of Panchen Lama

The New Palace of Panchen Lama lies north to the Tashilunpo Monastery. It is established in 1954 by the 10th Panchen Lama. The complex constitutes magnificent architecture, collecting a great amount of cultural relics.

There are three gateways. The first gateway is carved with patterns of fierce wild beasts, the flying dragons and all kinds of flowers. After entering the first gateway, you can stroll on the small path paved with white stones. Then you will reach the second gateway, which leads you to a quadrangle courtyard.
